Utah Council Mission Statement
The Utah Council of Trout Unlimited's mission is to conserve, protect and restore Utah's coldwater fisheries and their watersheds.
Function and Objectives
The Council will create a dialogue between and among TU chapters in Utah. The Council will be a clearinghouse for information to and from Chapters. It will be the collective voice of the Chapters.
The Council will disseminate information to educate members and the public on coldwater fisheries conservation in Utah. This information will be sent to all TU members.
The Utah Council of TU and its chapters will bring public visibility through leadership, conservation, and angling issues through their membership and educational programs, marketing, advertising and/or public relations.
The Utah Council will be bio-political ambassadors to the public, and will create a positive political and information forum and atmosphere.
The Council will help the Chapters in any way and work in communication and co-ordination of TU activities throughout the state, especially with the USFS, BLM, and UDWR in facilitating implementation of the FS/TU National Partnership Program in Utah.

For four decades, Trout Unlimited has been America's leading trout and salmon conservation organization. Whether they are planning and building stream improvement projects, working with government to secure fish-friendly legislation, or teaching young people people the importance of protecting wild fish and their habitat, TU's 125,000 members and 500 chapters across the U.S. and Canada are actively engaged in the fight to preserve our precious trout and salmon resources.
